Protect Your Home and Health from Harmful Mold.
Mold can damage your home and affect your health—showing up as black spots on siding, stained decks, and discolored drywall.
At Eastern Mold Remediation, we provide fast, effective mold removal and prevention for lasting protection.
Our mold assessment begins with a comprehensive visual inspection of the property. We use advanced tools like moisture meters and, when necessary, thermal imaging cameras to detect hidden moisture and potential mold growth. The goal is to identify the presence of mold, determine the source of moisture, and assess the scope of the problem.
Even if mold isn’t visible, it can still be present in the air or behind walls. Air sampling and surface (swab) testing can help determine the concentration and type of mold in your environment. However, if visible mold is found on surfaces like drywall, testing is often unnecessary, and we proceed directly to remediation.
We provide a detailed estimate outlining the scope of work, cost, and what constitutes a completed job. Once both the client and Eastern sign the agreement, we schedule the project start date.
Our technicians prioritize safety on every job. Standard protective gear includes respirators and gloves, while some situations may require full-face masks and disposable coveralls. These measures ensure the safety of both our team and your environment during the remediation process.
To prevent the spread of mold spores, we establish a temporary containment area if remediation is limited to a specific section of the property. This includes sealing off the affected area with plastic sheeting and using negative air pressure when needed, ensuring mold doesn’t contaminate unaffected areas.
Porous materials such as drywall, insulation, and carpet that show signs of mold infestation are safely removed and discarded. Our technicians typically remove 12 to 24 inches beyond visible mold growth or more if needed to ensure a clean surface for rebuilding. All debris is carefully handled and disposed of in accordance with industry standards.
After demolition, we use commercial-grade air scrubbers to remove airborne mold spores and improve air quality. If moisture is still present in structural materials like framing, we deploy dehumidifiers and high-powered fans to dry the area. In some cases, hydroxyl generators are used for further air purification following demolition and cleaning.
Once demolition is complete, remaining structural components like framing are treated with antimicrobial agents to eliminate any residual mold colonies and staining. All non-porous surfaces within the containment area—such as tile, glass, and marble—are thoroughly wiped down to remove settled mold spores. In addition, the entire area is
Once demolition is complete, remaining structural components like framing are treated with antimicrobial agents to eliminate any residual mold colonies and staining. All non-porous surfaces within the containment area—such as tile, glass, and marble—are thoroughly wiped down to remove settled mold spores. In addition, the entire area is HEPA vacuumed both before and after cleaning to ensure a deep and effective clean.
After treatment, the rebuild phase begins, replacing any removed materials such as drywall or flooring. Air scrubbers and containment barriers remain in place for 48–72 hours to filter out any lingering mold spores. Once this period has passed, we conduct final clearance testing, which may include air and swab samples, to confirm that mold levels are safe and the remediation was successful.
